BAFARA — Belgian Air Force Amateur Radio Association
Legal notice and privacy policy
The website www.bafara80.be is published by BAFARA (Belgian Air Force Amateur Radio Association). It served the OR80AF amateur radio activity, from 1 to 31 October 2026, and has since been kept as an archive.
What the archive contains
For each hunter and each listener, the archive keeps the callsign or listener ID, the contacts with the activity’s stations (station, date, time, band, mode), the points, the grade and the award certificate numbers. The name appears on the award only for those who gave it during the activity. The public standings show only the callsign, the grade and the points.
A log opens only when its callsign is typed in: the list of logs cannot be browsed.
What the archive no longer contains
Member accounts, e-mail addresses, passwords and sign-in records were removed from the site when it was archived. The awards and eQSLs of BAFARA members have been handed over to the association’s committee.
Your visit
The archive sets no cookies and does not measure traffic. As with any website, the host (OVHcloud) technically records visitors’ IP addresses in its server logs. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts: your browser shares your IP address with Google in the process. eQSLs and awards are built in your browser; a name typed at download time is sent nowhere.
Legal basis and purpose
The data are kept on the basis of BAFARA’s legitimate interest in keeping a record of the activity and letting participants retrieve their documents.
Your rights
You may ask for access to your data, their correction or their removal from the archive by writing to webmaster@bafara80.be. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).
